Default Ipod video problems with... video

Got an ipod video and when i click and drag videos into itunes they do not show up, i also tried importing them and still no beans. does this have something to do with the video type? im actaully trying to put top gear on it oddly enough and its in wmv form.

you may need to convert it. I've never used an iPod video (mine's 3rd gen).

You definitely need to convert it. An iPod Video cannot play .wmv files. It only supports the .mp4 format.

I (and others here on the forum) have found that a program called Xilisoft iPod Video Converter does the best job:

Not if it does what you need it to do. I just preferred Xilisoft. However, I sold my iPod video and got a psp, so things may have changed since then.
