I haven't had any problems since I turned on the immunize feature in spy bot search and destroy and the protection in spywareBlaster. I use these cause they were recommended at BroadbandReports.com

Counterspy is also very good, 30 day trial.

Hey, I get those same popups as well. I think they're connected with yousendit. If I understood it correctly, popups can occur in Firefox if you click on a link thus enabling the site to open them because you clicked it and therefore requested a new page to be opened.

As said before, if they're popping up even tho your not surfing then it's malware/spyware. Spybot S&D, Adaware, MS Antispyware, Counterspy, and if those don't work, HiJackThis! images/smilies/smile.gif

As long as you are careful with HiJack This... That little proggy is powerful and killing the wrong process could crash the whole system...

Yup, I too use Firefox, with the adblock extension to name only one, AdAware, Spybot and my antivirus as a firewall built in.

Better safe than sorry and when in doubt I scan with all four tools and always end up finding some stuff I thought wasn't there. images/smilies/ohmy.gif

Once you got rid of all of them, get the adblock extension...
One of the berst things on firefox... All those annoying websites with tons of flashy stuff are gone... Well, only the flashy stuff is gone...

And everythin loads faster...

Thanks Swek. I didn't know about that and was going manually through search engine searches when using it. Lots of work and took a long time...
