iPlayer works on Mac, but you can't download the videos (as far as I am aware).

Another advice a newbie MacBook owner use: Be extra careful when you close the screen. Guide the screen all the way down with your hands - don't just simply slam the lid close.

The raised notches on top of the screen (which elevates the screen away from the keyboard ever so slightly when in the closed position) actually slices through the edge of the palm rest which causes cracks. In my case, a small chunk of plastic actually broke off the palm rest.

You don't want your expensive purchase to end up looking like one of these:

Good advice. If you close the lid completely during shutdown it goes to sleep and then continues shutdown when you re-open it! (at least with the settings I have now) So I often leave it 90% shut after initiating shutdown.

I accidentally stained my palmrest by using it with chalk dust on my hand. Do you know of a good way to clean it?

And the clicker is a little weird at times, might have something caught underneath it.

So I guess I'm trying to say, use some kind of protection or be careful.

I recently installed Neo Office (Which is part of the Open Office suite). Screw Microsoft Office.

I'm sorry. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Microsoft Office for Mac is pretty solid, though I prefer iWork as it is zippier and a bit more integrated into the OS.
