care to elaborate on the problem?

If it doesn't start, then it's probably dead.

Don't think it's dead I'm 80% sure that it's the adapter. I don't remember turning it off last night so my guess is that the adapter stopped providing power and the battery ran down till the system shut down. Obviously as there is no power it won't start images/smilies/smile.gif

I just wish I knew anyone locally with an Acer laptop so that I could test the theory.

EDIT0: Dude your rig is nuts, though I wouldn't trust my data to Seagate images/smilies/smile.gif
EDIT1: I'm a retard my g/f's mom has an Acer....
EDIT2: Well it's official the power adapted is dead, just tested.

You can buy generic power adapters (you can change the pin and the voltage) in every computer store.

Thanks for the suggesting, but I ordered an OEM one online, cost me $37 with shipping so it's all good images/smilies/smile.gif I try to stick to generics, makes my life easier and ensures I don't fry my circuitry images/smilies/wink.gif
