Default LCD monitor + multiple inputs?

Hey guys, after reviewing what i've got, it seems better if I get a LCD monitor with various inputs (composite, RGB, HDMI, etc.), but i'm not sure which one to get..

I've seen the Gateway's 24 inch. Its $480 with most of the stuff mentioned.

Then theres Dell's 24 inch, but its about $600ish

I'm sure i've missed a lot in between too...

It would be nice to get nice TV, but none of them have 1080p, or if they do they are like 800+.

I'm just searching, but it would be nice have something around 500ish.

Dell makes excellent monitors. You don't really need an HDMI input, you can get a DVI-to-HDMI adapter fairly cheap. See if it would cost any less.

EDIT: There you go, the first one seems like it would fit what you want

If you can find a Westinghouse 24" L2410NM, I'd highly recommend it. It's MVA (not a TF), it has HDMI with HDCP, VGA, composite, component, and S-Video. It's also assloads cheaper than the ones you listed (I got mine for $360 after a MIR).

Quite a bit as you'd need a TV tuner and I don't know of any monitors (or HDTVs this small) with one. You can get external ones for like $100 though (been considering doing that myself for over-the-air HDTV).

Why is the item deactivated? Is there a newer model out?

Dunno. Maybe they just decided to stop stocking it.

Westinghouse doesn't list any newer models: http://www.westinghousedigital.com/c...t=LCD+Monitors

If you are connecting it to a PC you can get a cheap ass tv tuner. They have them for fairly decent money, including USB ones so don't have to bother opening up the case.

Here is a list of stuff for about 25 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=%2410+-+%2425

The westinghouse 24" is discontinued. They are now selling that 25.6" or whatever it is for alittle more.

As for which LCD... That NEC looks good but lacks the USB inputs that the Dell has.

I have teh Dell 2407wfp-hc and i got it for about $460 after tax/shipping. I got it on ebay for used but I got the seller's order #/customer # to initiate any warranty I need.

USB inputs are highly over-rated IMO. My case has plugs on the front which I'd much rather use than have to plug stuff into my monitor.

Plus you can just buy a USB hub for like $10.

I agree, in addition to it the monitor inputs usually don't have enough power to run anything more than a USB stick.
