That is awesome. For once, Microsoft can set any price on something and I'd buy it.
That is just unbelievably cool.

As he said, it seems you can try Photosynth online: http://labs.live.com/photosynth/

I can't do it, you need to have XP SP2 or Vista (I have the by far superior 2k images/smilies/tongue.gif ). Anyone?

The second part, while useful, is kinda images/smilies/yawn.gif, but the first part is OMFG-how-in-the-hell-is-that-done-smoothly?!

Wow, I was wondering when you guys were going to post about this. I've been playing around with it for the past two weeks.

It is a pretty sweet program, and would be cool to expand. Also, it would be neat to have a program like Sea Dragon to play around with for newspapers or catalouging your own pictures. More fun stuff for Vista/Surface?

Bonus game: try to find the famous scientist at San Marco.

Great stuff - I wish his presentation was not so hurried tho'. Liked to have found out more and in more detail, and I would have liked some discussion about the potential applications. Still have the web site to visit - thanks Blind_Io.

I've been playing with Photosynth all day.

Also, this does appear to be the fabled SuperZoom program we've all been waiting for!

That is cool. Combine this with the multi input of the MS Surface, it'll be so kickass.

I wasn't so impressed with the zoom program - it's good that it works so smoothly but in the end it's just zooming in like any photo viewer can. I really like the 3D modelling one though. It's an idea I thought of a couple of years ago (not in any detail, and of course I'm not saying they stole it, just that I thought it'd be cool to have a program that could automatically do that) - and I'm glad that someone else thought of it and actually programmed it!
