Default My New Gaming rig

I've been busying myself building a racing simulator/cockpit over the summer for my PC racing games. I've got to say this is the closest I could achieve to the real thing images/smilies/smile.gif ~ next stop would be a motion-based cockpit.

Here are some photos of the cockpit (sorry about the mess, it has been my desk for a couple of weeks already).

My new 20" widescreen with my steering wheel
http://img419.imageshack.us/img419/5170/cimg1368ri5.th.jpg

My home-made 6 speed H-pattern gear shifter
http://img419.imageshack.us/img419/3923/cimg1372ta6.th.jpg

My 3 pedal setup (the fourth pedal is currently not wired up, by would be for F1 games)
http://img419.imageshack.us/img419/306/cimg1374kh0.th.jpg

I'm going to paint it black and get some filler on the edges to smooth it up, also going to buy some car part stickers and stick it on images/smilies/biggrin.gif Any opinions on how to improve it (looks wise)?

I'lll never keep that in my room, it takes so much space and its not like you're going to play games all the time. I think you are over obsessed with it.

I would like to know what the 4th pedal would be for F1... F1 cars only have 2 pedals, the clutch is by hand I believe

I'm actually right-handed, but I'm setting it up for right-hand drive since I drive in the UK.

Its for when I want to keep all hands on the steering wheel, then I could use the 4th pedal for the rear brakes, not much use but good to know that its there if needed

Very nice setup indeed. By the final result, it looks like it was quite an effort. images/smilies/smile.gif

The easiest is to plug both the wheels on and taking sometime on configuring the axles, or just buy the new Logitech G25 wheel when it comes out images/smilies/biggrin.gif
