| Gulf Livery Rules | the title says it all. i bought an MSI laptop with an integrated wireless card (minipci), i installed the drivers, but it can't find any AP. my old laptop connects ok and works just fine.. I checked inside and the card is connected to the internal antenna, so it's not that. I can't figure it out... ![]() |

intial setup for me was very straightforward, but the linksys software screws my old PC. little OT here, but could i hook up a network drive to my router and use it as a web server? i only get 23kb/s upload so would it be slow even if it did work?

Asus have a nice model that does (even downloads torrents), you can even hook up a few select webcams: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...item=542&num=1

| Gulf Livery Rules | I have an option in the router that allows me to limit wireless connection to a list of mac addresses. Simpler than encryption methinks. Anyway, got another problem now. When i try to access shared folders from and to the laptop, i get a message that i don't have the permission to do that. Been looking for hours, any clues? I can see the computers in my network places, just can't get in... |

| Hedgehog Sandwich | yeah i have that option too. trouble is it screws up connection to my 360. usually the default setting is a list of MAC addys that are ALLOWED. other than that, i can't think of anything. |
