I have been looking for a sidebar gadget that could display and auto update the feed from the rings camera for ages. However, i couldn't find anything. So, I contacted a friendly gadget developer and we came up with this (Well he did most of the work
): This is how it looks in the side bar: ![]() When you click on the gadget it opens up and shows the full res image from the feed. ![]() This is really awesome. We both ran it on our systems and found it didn't eat up any memory or cpu. It doesn't save the images, it just shows them in real time. It auto updates every 60 secs. Feel free to enjoy this ![]() I uploaded it to Rapidshare, Flyupload and megaupload i'm sure everyone can download from one of these hosts. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=N22Q4NT1 http://rapidshare.com/files/11172520...ng.gadget.html http://www.flyupload.com/get?fid=4341881 Feel free to + Rep

I have been talking to the developer, we are thinking of adding an option of auto saving the pictures into a folder on the users HDD.
What do you think? Is it better like this?

This is going to be the final version. The developer doesn't have time to work on a auto save option.

I was really disappointed that I couldn't have this on my PC (XP), but now I've found a Google Desktop gadget that does the same thing!

I thought so, until I found out that it doesn't auto-refresh since the guy stopped it. I need to find some way to make a URL that auto refreshes...

I could write a simple html code that could do that.

That would be very handy. I tried a few different HTML guide websites and got some sample codes, but nothing worked properly.
Basically what I want is to have a second image that refreshes every 60 seconds (or however long it is between the image changing).
