| I'm always annoyed when I print a ppt presentation, in handout format. There is a ridiculous amount of space wasted, when you print e.g. 6 handouts on a page (say A4). The handout size is pretty small compared to what it could be. It should be easily possible to print 9 handouts on a page, with almost no space in between them in such a size so that you can read things clearly. But powerpoint doesn't let you change the size of the handouts. You can mess with header/footer in the handout master view, and that's about it. One thing that does help a bit to set "scale to fit paper", but even like that the empty space between handouts is just too big -> hence the handout size smaller then what it could be. I've browsed the net for a while and can't find anything, except this, but it requires $ubscription for the answer. ![]() You could export the slides to word, and then resize them manually, but that's time consuming if you have lots of slides, and not an automated procedure. Does anyone know some trick or feature that I've overlooked in powerpoint, that could solve my problem? | |

| go back to the google page that you searched to find that link above, and click on Cached page instead. the google spider is able to get past that, so everything on that site is actually free as long as you use google. here's the cached link: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=cl...OWscxQiwvnNcbg didn't read the page though, so don't know if it has your answer. | |

| Doesn't change much. Actually on the bottom it says "try choosing Scale to Fit Paper from options in the print preview mode before printing the slides....it will fit the slides according to the size of the paper." but that still doesn't solve the problem. ![]() PS: Ok, this add on apparently works. http://skp.mvps.org/how/install.htm But the problem of this is that you can obviously make use of it only on computer's where it's installed. I'm looking for some way without installing any extras. ![]() Last edited by pdanev; April 10th, 2008 at 01:04 AM.. | |
