Default Problem connecting a laptop to the internet

I'll explain my setup first, i have a modem that's connected to a non wireless router. The router is connected to 4 computers. Two of them are running Vista and the other two are running XP. Anyway, 3 of them have a internet connection, but my Vista laptop will not connect. I tried connecting it directly to the modem and that worked. Then, I disconnected a computer that works and plugged in the laptop but it still didn't work. I tried dozens of different configurations and nothing.

How can I solve this problem?

/EDIT Sorry you said it was not WiFi so I do not think this is your problem.

Looks like your network settings on your Laptop are messed up or might be configured to run directly connected to the modem. Check those settings and see if it matches the other vista box. I assume you are using DHCP, so make sure that is enabled and make sure the DNS settings are correct.
To check the DNS, see if you can ping your router from the vista laptop by going to command prompt and typing "ping <router ip number>". Then try to ping a website like google "ping www.google.com". If it fails to ping google your DNS settings might be wrong.

Plug it in, open a cmd window, run "IPCONFIG /ALL" and "ROUTE PRINT" and paste them into the form here. Also do it on one of your working computers. Then we might be able to help.

Post some screenshots of your config.
Or atleast give more info, like settings, type of router, etc.

It's a edimax router I'll check the specific model when I can.

It detects all settings automatically.
