Default Problem with firefox and explorer - won`t load pages

I have a problem with both firefox and explorer. They won`t load pages, I need to refresh about 10 times to get a page to load and when they do, it`s really slow and lots of pages load up as a mess.

What could be wrong?

Do you have some kind of router between your pc and the internet? If so, try to reboot it.

I have Kaspersky and everything was ok for the last few weeks.

I am running a scan now to see if I have a spyware infection.

Unless i'm severely mistaken, Kaspersky also scans your webtraffic right? Try disabling that module.

Something similar happened to me, but it fixed itself so I can't help. Sorry. images/smilies/blush.gif

I can't remember if just quitting and restarting helped either.

Kaspersky may possible not detect spyware, so you need a dedicated spyware scanner, just to make sure it's not that.

AdAware, Spybot S&D (i read that one is not reliable anymore), there are plenty of others.

Sounds like DNS issue as already suggested, especially if your torrents are running fine.

It could be a problem with your ISP, possibly DNS related.
