with PC 100 ram work on new computers? this is off a P2 computer.
will this fit on to a AMD computer? its a newish one about 1 year old. i have a picture of it if it is need |

if it fits you ca try... i dont think it would fit though, since most newish pc's use DDR...

Mixing memory types is probably not a good idea (if that's what you're doing).
If you do get it to work, I suspect there's a chance you'll cause your whole computer to slow down. |

Mixing memory is never a good idea, and if the board is new then its prolly DDR, so older SDRAM is no good. And PC100 is ancient

PC100 is old SDR RAM, and pretty much all recent PCs use DDR RAM, so it probably won't fit. An easy way to check if your new computer uses DDR is to look at the RAM sticks or the slots they go into. SDR sticks have two notches, but DDR sticks only have one.
