iTunes sucks for playlists and ease of use.

Now I'm confused.

As I said before, I've got no experience with the Windows version, but I find iTunes best to manage my large song library almost 4000 tracks. Without playlists I'd be lost.

I've got over 1,000+ MP3 albums (I'm not sure how many thousands of songs that is though ) and the only program I use is WinAmp 2.8. I've tried just about every MP3 program going, but I now exclusively use the old 2.8 version of WinAmp. I don't have a portable MP3 player either, but I've never really liked iTunes anyway.

I organize all of my MP3s in folders on a portable hard drive, and then have a folder containing a .M3U playlist file for each of the 1,000+ albums. Whenever I want to play something, I just open the folder (actually, I have it open at all times in my second monitor) and pick what I want to play from the list.

I've tried iTunes, but believe me, the way I have things set up right now is the only feasible way of organizing that much music.

Winamp is so much simpler..

iTunes sucks and their smart playlists are useless but whatever I don't care about it my MiniPod (cute name eh?) is cool
