It's the intertubes.. Don't take stuff personally.
I still don't see how this thread is useless but nevertheless I respect your opinion.

Matt, I tried that but I could get it to work. I am using something else. Thanks anyway.

Okay, that means either the fan doesn't support PWM speed control, or that part of the mobo doesn't. I have about 5 fan plugs on mine, but only 2 can be controlled. If you can't control it in Speedfan, you won't be able to from the BIOS. Time to break out the manual! images/smilies/smile.gif

But the only other alternative is to get a fan controller. This one is single channel:

edit: oh, ok. images/smilies/smile.gif

Using programs to lock your fan speed can be a bit sketchy.

That's how my mate broke the fan on my old ATi card (X800pro), he fixed it at 80% and now the fan is perm maxxed out and can not be turned back down again.

But if you are serious about fan speed and the noise. Get this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999171 or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118217

or you can try your luck with 3rd party programs. But before you do that, I suggest you try the fan monitoring program in the BIOS before using any other weird programs you find on the net.

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.
