GT4 does work with the G25 but you cant use the clutch
also you can only use sequential shifting

G25 with GTR2/evo or Rfactor is sex
project torque even

people complain about the shifter feeling cheap and I agree however it doesnt subtrack from the overall awesome feel of the wheel

That Porsche wheel looks horrible! *shudders*

If you're not bothered about what you spend, get the G25. If you don't want to fork out a fortune, there are better deals to be had in the Logitech range. images/smilies/smile.gif

You'll regret buying any cheap wheel though.

I don't want a super expensive wheel, since i'm more of a casual gamer and won't use a real pro wheel like the G25

but I don't want a crappy cheap wheel either...if there are better deals to be had in the logitech range, please point them out to me images/smilies/tongue.gif

I'm not married to Logitech either, I just looked there first because I knew they make the G25, which is made of pure awesome and win.

Only the GT Force and Driving force series (G25 included) will have proper force feedback on PS2 so it looks like you're stuck with Logitech.

I have a Logitech Momo, and I love it. It works great with PC, but it doesn't work with GT3 or GT4. Rumour is it works with GT5, but as I don't own a PS3, I can't confirm this one.
A friend uses something called a Tool Force Pro (or something like that). That works in GT3/4, but I'm not sure how good/bad it is.

Also note: A momo feels nothing like a G25, but for a third of the price, it's not bad!

Apart from the tacky porsche emblems everywhere and the seemingly dodgy name the Fanatec wheels should actually be quite good. And they do have force feedback. Some of the special editions come with some pretty cool features. see for example here under Clubsport S. It is probably way beyond your budget though images/smilies/tongue.gif

And if you're lazy like me, and want a cockpit, these guys might be worth looking at (~400 €)

Just get the DFP. When I got a PS2 + GT4 last April, I sold my MOMO Racing wheel and bought a DFP just to play it with GT4. It's an awesome wheel that's very sturdy and solid. I also play LFS with it and it works flawlessly.

The G25 is just the DFP with real leather, metal, a clutch pedal, H-shifter, and a stronger motor, plus it's a lot more money.

Trust me, you won't regret getting the DFP. images/smilies/biggrin.gif
