Default Superb app for the iphone and also windows mobile

I found an amazing app for the iphone and you can also get it for windows mobile phones. It's called PdaNet. It turnes your phone into a wifi hotspot by using a edge or 3G connection. You can then surf the web on your laptop or whatever else you want. Just make sure you have a unlimited data plan (and make sure it really is unlimited or your operator will rape you badly). You need to have a jailbroken iphone to get it.

Does this get past the need to pay for "tethering"? I know ATT requires another $30 a month to use as a modem for your lappy, but I've heard some people have gotten around it. Just curious.

My HTC has the ability to act as a modem over USB, but this sounds pretty good. Completely useless for me because I have a 250Mb limit, an excellent home WiFi network and Opera already is an awesome browser. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Damn, I HAVE to look into this, because I've been wanting an app that allows this for a while. I'm hesitant to jailbreak my iphone though... but it's good news and I'll look into it!

There is really no downside to jailbreaking.

If you really don't like it, just do a restore, and all evidence of jailbreaking will be gone.

Which means, while this is still quite cool, it does not keep you from having to jailbreak your phone if your want to tether.
