Supercar Laptop?

I'll be in the market for a new laptop very soon (waiting for Vista to settle in), and although I thought it was a joke before, I'm actually tempted by the new crop of supercar laptops. The techy side of me knows you can get a much better laptop for the money, but the car guy side of me thinks they're kinda cool. Now I just have to pick which supercar to dream about.

Yeah, but I think your looking for flash if your going for a 'supercar' laptop.

Why not just get a high quality laptop from a 'super laptop' company? I'd much rather have an Apple labled MacBook Pro than a Ferrari stickered Asus.

Laptops are cool because of what they do, not what the sticker says. Just like supercars. images/smilies/smile.gif

Actually I heard only good things from the Acer Ferrari. Plus it is not insanely priced b/c of the name. So do some research first, but do not leave out that Acer. I wanted one really bad and was just as cheap as others with similar specs.

When I bought my asus leather laptop (My Review) I asked them about the lambo laptops and they thought they were better than the ferrari ones, especially in build quality. They said the one to have would be the black one though

I sell asus notebooks at work we have that leather one and the asus lambo one on display, everyone always wants the black version.

The best thing in my opinion about asus notebooks is that they all have 2 years warranty, while all the other major brands only have 1 year standard. And the good price/spec ratio.

It's not worth buying one of those supercar laptops, a fair bit of your money will paying for a brand name.

You can always buy a non-supercar laptop and turn it into a supercar laptop by putting stickers on it or something....

Of the Supercar Lappies. The Lambo is at least decent for your money. The others... well.... I think buying the actual Car is a better investment... even if you have to sell your leg.

I don't like Acer. All my friends who bought Acer they say never more. The pieces fall off and the reability isn´t very good. My friends had to send their portables for repair already 2 times. Perhaps it's unlucky! But for me that's enough to say never too. Also the Ferrari Laptop have AMD processor's. Since my AMD desktop pc had burned, AMD never more! images/smilies/sad.gif

For me the Asus would be the good choice, but the koenigsegg, where can I find the specs of it?

This LG has a 15.4" 1680x1050 monitor and the memory can be expansible to 4 Gb!

Perhaps more fragile than those of Asus and Koenigsegg but the price...

strange that your AMD desktop blew. Never had any problems with mine.

If you get a desktop, get an AMD, if you get a laptop, get an intel. Each manufacturer has it's strength, go with it imo.
