Default Sweet. I got a Logitech G25.

Quite expensive, but now I have the comfort of knowing that driving stick isn't really as difficult as I thought it was.

Stick with the h-shifter for a while, you'll be able to do it without thinking soon. I've been using h-shifters in racing sims for ages, wouldn't do it any other way! images/smilies/biggrin.gif

G25 is great, isn't it? FFB is very smooth and precise.

Are there any games that are actually properly compatible with the stick shifter?

Every good simulation supports it, LFS, GTR1/2/GTL, etc. NFS:Carbon sort of supports it, but the control is impossible, more of a joke than anything.

I've got a g25 and while good the shifter and clutch aren't really simulation grade stuff...

This really stinks. I barely had this thing for two days and the Reverse gear won't work.

Dear Mr. *******,

Thank you for contacting Logitech's Electronic Technical Support.

I understand that you that the reverse gear is not working on the Logitech G 25 Racing wheel. I apologize for the issue you are experiencing.

I would like to inform you that the reverse gear of the Logitech G25 Racing wheel is designed in such a manner that the reverse gear will not be detected within the game controller. However, the gear will get active and work properly within the game when used. Also I would like to inform you that currently only the following games are supported by the G25 Racing wheel: GTR 2, rFactor and Live for Speed.

Also I would like to inform you that you will not be able to put the reverse gear unless and until you press straight down on the shifter handle while you move the shifter into the 6th gear position. Please press the gear a bit inside and then try changing the gear to reverse gear and you should be able to change the gear to reverse without hassles.

If the issue persists or should you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

If you have any additional questions regarding your product, please feel free to visit our website at http://www.logitech.com

Kind Regards,

****** *****

Yeah. I did look at it. Looks like I'm going to have to e-mail Logitech and see what they can do to help me. I really hope that there is a simple DIY solution, too. I really don't want to ship it to Logitech or risk exchanging it for another defective Reverse gear.

You sure you would have to send it to Logitech? When I had a mouse replaced, I only had to send them the cut off usb plug and battery cover, and within the week I had a new one.
And for the driving force, the pedals had the 90% bug, they simply sent me new ones and I could just keep the old...

Really? That would be great if I don't have to send the defective part over. Shipping is expensive....

logitech are pretty good with stuff like this

i had to RMA some speakers when the sub developed a rattle. i rang up and i was asked what speakers i had and they basically placed an order and sent me new ones.

he gave me an address for switzerland, and all i had to do was cut off the plugs (though i kept the power plug as a spare) and mail them in with the RMA number on the front.
