Dan, where'd you get the camera car mount thing from? I'm looking to get something similar myself... going to be doing a few trips later this year I'd love to get some nice shots from!
I hope you've got the securing strap for it as a backup too!

That pic with the long poles - surely the middle one is going to be in the shot?!

1989 Toyota MR2 Mk1 - owned it for two years. Love it loads. Currently undergoing a suspension upgrade...
1987 Toyota MR2 Mk1 SC - A project car that had Headgasket issues when I bought it. I've never driven it... yet...

Yeh the poles will be in the shot. I doubt you can get a shot without them in it, its all about being cunning when removing them ie. taking pics without them and 'pasting' them into photoshop.
I got it from a company called B-Hague Ltd. Google it and you should find it images/smilies/smile.gif

P.S. I have no idea who's the Aston is, its just an example shot of the rig in action.

Got it broken in and took it to a local dirt track, was working very well until the wheel fell offimages/smilies/sad.gif . I shouldn't have trusted the shop to bolt it together right, I checked the other wheels after and they were finger loose. Unfortunately I now need a new nut as it flew off somewhere into the bushes.

I asked Halfords to put new tyres in mine when they fixed it, they did but forgot to glue them onto the rim, I floored it when I got it back and well the result wasn't very nice..........

Cool thingie indeed, shame it doesn't have a numpad :/ Which makes it not practical for a desktop and useless for a portable.

aye the numpad thing was a consideration at first but i rarely use it to be fair. If i do find myself missing one then its quite easy to get just a numpad on its own that can be hidden away discreetly when not in use images/smilies/smile.gif

Just bought this about an hour ago:

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/5474/scanner1rv1.jpg

http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/4360/scanner2sd3.jpg

It's a Canon LiDE 25 scanner. It's thin, light, powered via USB, wasn't too expensive, and it works under Linux! images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Well, sort of. Due to some bugs in Feisty's USB code, I can't use XSane to scan things; I have to use the command line. images/smilies/dry.gif

Just like my 8800GTS.

It works under Linux...If you know Linux as well as Linus Torvalds himself.

Oh Linux, will you ever work out of the box?
