Wow, a complete copy of the Motorola Razor. Well, an improvement. My dad had one of those and the menus were horrid. This probably has the same menu as mine which are fab.

Microtek i700 Pro film scanner. Local shop is a ripoff for film scanning, this'll have paid for itself after 4 rolls!

Do the pictures turn out clear and sharp? I might consider getting this instead of a digital camera since I don't take a lot of pictures for work purposes.

I've had this iriver Clix2 Red Line (8Gb) for a couple of weeks now. Bought it as a replacement for my iPod Nano, can't say I'm regretting anything. Though I sometimes miss the click-wheel, the iriver is by far better.

Well, if I'd wanted to show of I would've taken a picture of the keys to my private car.

The Nano is fine, cheap and easy to use. I would have kept mine if a friend of mine hadn't given me an unbeatable amount of cash for it. Plus, the AMOLED-display intrigued me. (It's excellent by the way)

Graduation gifts and a summer's worth of paychecks and commissions. Hopefully I'll get it all back next week, I have a percentage finder's fee on investors for my boss's land deal and if the guy I met this week invests, I get a small cut.

My new toys:

Some of you may remember me asking about carry around lens recommendations...? Well, I've finally got it. Tried out the 17-70 and loved it. I was very very tempted by the 17-200 but decided that the longer range would mean compromises elsewhere and I've already got a 75-300... (hopefully I'll never need anything between 70 and 75mm...lol)
The 17-70 is a fantastic lens even by the short play I've had with it so far. Can't believe I didn't buy it sooner.

As for the 10-20... yeah that was an extravagance. But one of my work collegues let me play with his on his Nikon and I fell in love with it. I had to have it. There's a bit more vignetting than I'd like, but on the 400D it's fantastic... though I've not had a chance to have a proper play yet (getting dark too early!). However, I think that my old 19-35 Tamron wide angle won't get used anymore... (was not great on the 400D but superb on my old film EOSs).

Can't wait for some good weather!

Nice! Don't worry bout the 70-75mm gap, that's maybe 2 steps forward. I've got a 35mm - 70mm gap in my setup, and I rarely miss that range.

Yeah, don't worry... I often forget sarcasm doesn't come across well on t'intarweb. I'm not worried about that tiny gap - like you I used to have a much bigger gap in my range...
The lenses arrived just in time - going to France next week for a week and Scotland the week after so still have time to test (play with) them to make sure all is good... 8)
