A bargain at £399. It's 37 inches of awesome. It's going to take weeks to get used to it, I'm used to a 25" 4:3 CRT. When I first started it up Star Wars Episode III was on, I don't like Star Wars but because of the great picture I watched the rest of it, and it was brilliant.

Best bit. The power LEDs do a Knight Rider effect when the TV's warming up, which keeps me occupied and will make sure my mum doesn't turn it off by pressing power again, thinking it's not on yet...

^ Warming up? My 3 year old 37"er turns on right away.
Also, you'll get used to 37" pretty quick...

+1

Especially with everyone having at least a 42" now, HD just doesn't seem like anything special anymore.. almost like its SD.

Well I've only turned it on a couple of times and I'm too busy watch the light to notice how long it's on for.

This is our first big HD TV, so it's pretty special. We've been holding out for a good deal (or until the old one died, the tube was on its way out) and got it. Admittedly this isn't a new model (it's a 3000 series compared to the new 8000 series TVs) but I'm happy. Looking forward to hooking up my 360 and finally turning on 1080p mode. Then blasting around Fujimi Kaido on Forza.

399 sounds a bit much IMO

You can get a Full HD 42" LCD here for that money.

Looks good though, enjoy!

That's about the right price, although I would have gone for one of the Panasonics for the price.

Originally we were looking at £500 Samsungs so we grabbed this while we could.

Not heard much about Panasonics really, always preferred LG or Samsung myself.

13", base configuration (2.26 C2D, nVidia 9400m, 2GB DDR3, 160GB HD). Going to upgrade Ram and Hard disk myself later.

Now, on to finding a half decent case to protect my new toy. Ideas?

Congrats on your buy, you won't regret it ^^

If you want a bag, I can recommend Crumpler bags, they are kind of expensive but well worth the price.

I'm more looking for something like this: http://www.speckproducts.com/product...black-keys/159

But not that ridiculously expensive.

Yeah they are nice! I don't know if any other manufacturer does this for the MacBook.
