It'd make sense in many Asian households, where space is at a premium and having a touchscreen would reduce the need to bust out a keyboard and mouse (which take up even more space again).
127erm i understand cramped housing conditions (you should see my livingroom, lol) but how exactly does a keyboard/mouse take up much space. If you have a wireless one you can put it wherever, and if you have a keyboard with no Numpad, it can be made very tiny. Also tiny mouses FTW
look what I have for my netbook
tiny mouse is tiny

if i buy the touchscreen it'd be for my mom because i don't expect her to type anything, she's just gonna use the computer as a media pc so she can go about with double tapping the folder
Tools/Folder Options/Single-click to open an item
that's because it's a Mac! hehe. no, well.. touchscreen, compact, good design, lots of reasons. Blueray player as well!
127don't these touchscreen thingies mean constant fingerprints all over the screen? It would annoy the hell out of me.
Same goes for iPhone/iPod touch

Jumping on the touchscreen bandwagon with this:
HP TouchSmart tx2 1310 tablet. AMD Turion 64 x2 2.3 GHz, 4GB DDR2, and Windows 7 with full multitouch support. I've had the thing for half a day and already love it.

Finally. Special thanks to Katwalk for providing the firmware files that are apparently unavailable now.
I used to say that exact same thing till I actually got an iPod Touch. You don't ever notice it unless the screen is off, or if you have really greasy hands.

^Depends which model. The classics are incredibly easy, touches/iphones are more difficult.
That's pretty easy. Here's a pretty helpful guide. There's nothing too easy/worth it to replace while it's open, unless you want to get an adapter to use a CF card as the HDD.
