Hahaha, it looks like someone took a screenshot of Photoshop and cropped it!

Ah, well, it's the coolest picture of a D50 I could find...

I've already finished building the custom hardcase for it, and it hasn't even got here yet! The only thing that sucks is that the 1GB Ultra II SD card I ordered with it is backordered, so I'll have to use my old 128MB card for a while.

I bought a new toy this morning. Got a PS2 with GT4 and NFS: Most Wanted Black Edition and an 8MB memory card... No doubt the Aussies here know how good JB Hi-Fi is, they really are the cheapest. I did a deal, paid in cash, got the memory card thrown in and saved $100! boo yeah!

And for those wondering why I didn't get an XBOX 360. 1: Can't justify the price and 2: Can't afford that price!

New toy, again !

Yesterday afternoon I installed the Silverstars I had purchased a few days ago. I replaced the low beams and the fog lamps with them.

What a difference !
Light is so much brighter and whiter than before. At first, before the sun went down, I couldn't see the difference looking at the headlights from standing in front of the car but once the sun went down and driving around I saw it immediately !

The low beams' bulbs were a bit hard to find as they are 9006XSST (straight plug instead of an angled one) and putting all four of them in meant removing the front wheels to get access to the back of the headlight assembly (the ptCruiser is a very tight package ! ) but it was worth it.

Overall I give the Silverstar a rating.

Now if Sylvania only decided to make the high beams (9007XSST) available, it'd be perfect.

Halogen last a long time, don't they ?

I know what you mean but to me removing a wheel is not a problem, only takes longer.
And it is not like a burnt out bulb would keep the car from running. I can always replace a burnt out one whenever I want (home) and not right there when it happens.

I had been told it could be done without taking the wheel off but was much much easier with it off.

However, before I bought the car I never thought about how they were replaced.
Through the inside of the fender there is a removable "door" that lets you access the low, high, and turn signal bulbs.

I messed up. Just been told the high beams are 9005XSST and just as tough to find as the 9006XSST. But they exist.

*Gone hunting for a pair of them.*

Spec ?

You mean you don't know about my ride ?

*Looks at "Join date"*
Oh.

Ok. I used to drive this ACR Neon until I sold it.

The whole saga about replacing that old Neon is here.

As for improvements. Look here for some of them.

Long story short:
Turbocharged 2.4 liter inline 4 cylinder engine
235hp. 260 lb.ft. of torque
Manual Getrag 5 spd.
And a whole lot of room to carry gear on trips.

Don't have any pictures, but I got my ISP's upgraded service. Now I have 30MBPS downstream and 2MBPS upstream. I had to get a new 10/100 switch just to take full advantage of the speeds. Its really fast now.

I had silverstars installed on two of my cars. The bulbs burnt out in less than three months for both cars.

These Silverstars are okay looking and okay use for a few months, then you just ask yourself... why didn't i get a HID kit for the full effect.

I got me a few new "toys" a couple of days ago, which where:

2 x Western Digital Sata II 300gb Hard Drives
These new drive have bumped up my total capacity to 1.17 TB, and although this may seem overkill I already have 500gb full so I decided to "future proof" my space.

Logitech mx5000 keyboard and mouse combo, which i must add is unbelievably aswome

Nice keyboard and mouse.

I just replaced my MX-700 with an MX-1000.

I kept the keyboard that I got in the bundle with the MX-700.

I was thinking of buying that new combo, but decided that it wasn't worth the extra money just to add a little screen to my keyboard, although it is kinda cool.

What can the display do? I know it shows the temperature, audio playlists etc, but is it anything else good?

Nothing else really different from what you said, just shows like who signed into msn, when they send you a message etc. It also has a calculator + the cool audio controls on the side. Apart from all that though, it is mighty fine to type on. There may be more functions, however I dont know of them yet.
