I know its not the best sound card out there, but I wanted to upgrade from the on-board sound on my motherboard and it's much better now. Plus it was on sale at Newegg images/smilies/wink.gif
i have the audigy 2 NX...
but the resampling 44.1 KHz to 48KHz is really bugging me. Especially after I found out Terratec has cards that arent too expensive either (80 euro or so)

Yes, Terratec makes good cards. I bought this one cause it was only $40 after the rebate.

I had an old Audig2 before I got the new ZS thingy. Only real difference that I can tell is that it supports 7.1 speaker setups. Both cards look identical.

I bought the MX1000 and returned it the next day. The drivers jacked up my computer and gave me my first Windows XP BSOD. I'm now back to using my old MX500.

It was too heavy for me and it had a bad lag for gaming.

really? that's werid, I been playing FPS like battlefield 1942 (old school), Gunz online, and Max Payne 2 and the responce is awsome.

its a little heavy compared to my old mouse, but that weighted less than feather so took me a good 15 minutes to get used to. I felt it's lighter than my friend's mx700

Well obviously, i'm just at 400 MHz and ur at 550MHz

I don't get RAM timing stuff...even though his is more expensive (by 30 bucks or so) and it is faster speed, what does his timing compare to mine?

(stock, well i'm assumeing he didn't overclock it)

His: 2.5-4-4-8

Mine: TCCD 2-2-2-5

I do like OHs CPU better then mine...i have a damned 3.2 P4 because i didn't understand anythin about AMD at that time...but i do have a good motherboard. a DFI LANPARTY one...i think the AMD version is called UT2004 or something

Is his DDR2? Cause the timings on DDR2 are higher, but you cant really compares DDR and DDR2 timings, they are quite different.
