I put my old Seagate 200GB HDD into the external enclosure to use it as a backup drive. I figured it was about time to backup all of my music and TV shows (I can't lose my episodes Top Gear!).

Ok I just bought myself a Seagate external HD (160gb) for 95 euros.

Packaging these days is getting stupid. Pretty. But stupid.

I'm getting miffed that whenever my Mum buys any new stuff, I have to open the packaging for her as it's too hard for her to do (she's not an old age pensioner by the way).

I got some new headphones recently (I'll post pics soon - they're 5.1s) and they came in some lovely packaging. But extremely wasteful, I was amazed...

Oh and also, just to add something to the hard disk bit - just bought a 250GB Maxtor drive for £55, along with a £25 external case thingy for my Dad. £80 isn't bad (IMO) for a 250GB external drive - compared to the prebuilt solutions...

Nice card there, 600 images is plenty. I get about 350 from mine at 8MP superfine, 1GB as well.

I've been meaning to buy a new 1GB card too.. Can only fit 110 pictures on my current 1GB. And then my card reader is USB1.x.. so very slow, takes ages to transfer the whole card to a HDD. But no money to buy new stuff, I'm lucky to have enough for the rent images/smilies/cry.gif
