Default The problem with safari

My friend was trying to log onto our (Berkeley's) website for students to find out about grades and get transcripts and deal with financing. The site is called BearFacts (https://sis.berkeley.edu/bearfacts/) and normally it should look like this (took the screenshot from firefox):

The safari version of the site (what my friend saw) was this:

Why is this thread titled "The problem with safari"? Shouldn't it be titled "One of the many, many problems with safari"?

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

Yup, seems to work fine here. See screenshot or click for full image.

So I wouldn't know why his system is doing that; my first guess would be that he is missing some fonts but then some of the letters still come up :/ ...I dunno.

That's really interesting. I have no idea what would cause him to have such an error if all of your versions look alright.

Viper: Oh and I made the title "The problem with safari" because that's what he was saying on the phone. He also asked me to post this on a forum for laughs so I did.

Maybe now though I can give him real advice images/smilies/tongue.gif

Tell him up upgrade Safari? I get the proper page, too.
