That's coming in 10.6. For now, you can use Microsoft Entourage as the gateway to Exchange, or one of the other iCal plugins.

See this slightly old blog post:

If that doesn't work, just block the IR sensor on the front of the Dock with something. A small piece of tape would do well.

Tape > all.

Has Camino been suggested? Mozilla project for OS X, I know a few people who use it and they say it's great.

And for the third unrelated thought, anyone know a way to get OS X Tiger cheap? My brother and sister got some old iBook G3s from a school but you needed a username and password to login to OS 10.2, so I ended up wiping it for Linux. Everything I try is extremely slow however, and these things won't run Leopard (500 MHz G3, 256 MB RAM, 10 GB HDD).

No, but you can get much better than 'jump through hoops to get a .dmg burned from windows only to end up with an install disk that's not bootable.'

Well I had a dream where I downloaded a copy of Tiger when it was released and I never had any trouble running it on my MBP.

eBay or Craigslist. There's always someone selling one for $10-20 because they upgraded.

Just installed the CS4 Master Suite, so far find it runs much faster than CS3 anyway, but I'll be giving it a proper work over in the coming weeks with college work to see if it is actually faster or just a first impression novelty !

Did you buy it or did you "buy" it?

Do you know if Firefox extensions will work with Camino?

edit: nevermind, its not that good. I'll stick with FF3.

For Tiger try eBay. I'm sure someone would gladly sell it seeming Leopard's 10.5.5 already

Hmm, I am unsure as to whether this is normal or not. But it appears as if one of my programs has a memory leak of some kind. I start the day with 1.25GB memory free, and when I end the day there is about 500Mb memory left. Is this normal?

Also, can somebody make any recommendations for an usenet grabber app?

Sad news. I got my issue of Macworld in the mail yesterday and there was a little article stating that Techspansion, the maker of iSquint and VisualHub, has thrown in the towel! The company's website doesn't give an insight as to why, but says that the code is now open.

I really hope someone picks up where this guy left off. iSquint has been invaluable for converting funky video formats to mpeg4.

I've heard about them throwing the towel, but didn't know they were gonna make it open source, at least there's some how that the community will pick things up.
