Thank you very much, will look it up.
They added it not too long ago, but I'm so glad they finally did because it makes life easier when getting/sending mail from my phone.

I still use POP3, mainly because I didn't know any different but it's always worked fine for me. Not sure if Virgin Media offer IMAP, but what are the advantages?

It allows for complete synchronization wherever and whenever you access your email. If I send an email from my phone, it will show up in my Sent Mail folder on any device configured with my account. Same goes for new messages, deletions, etc.

POP3 is one way. You copy e-mails off the server to read them. As cvrefugee said, if you delete it, send an e-mail, etc. the server doesn't get updated.

I also believe it's a LOT faster as you don't have to download all the messages, but I could be wrong. I literally haven't used POP3 in many, many years.
