Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hello TopGear fans, This is my first post in this wonderful forum, am a die hard TopGear fan and I had a question and I hope anyone will help me on this. I try to transfer TopGear epsds into my ipod but everytime I convert them to .mov format they are converted full screen so the picture is really verticaly stretched, I need an advice how to convert them with widescreen into the iPod. Thanks. ![]() |

Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() | There have been topics on this kind of thing before, perhaps you could search for those for more info, as I know the discussion is far more extensive in those threads. Basically I use Cucusoft Video Converter. It is the best program I have found, and I have tried 3-4 different programs. |

| .mp4 format using Xilisoft Video Converter is what I use. Has the option for the 30g Video iPod, and gets it done for me.

Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() | I found that Xilisoft made the audio slightly out of sync for things 1 hour or longer, well at least the version I used before I went to the one I recommended above. Apparently was a common problem, so not sure if it has been fixed. |

Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() | It is something to do with the way that Xilisoft handles the audio and video conversion as two seperate parts. The video uses 3 decimal places to process the time, like 45:32:130, where the audio only uses 2, like 45:32:13, consequently the audio and video slowly get out of sync by a fration of a second per frame. This ins't a problem until a video is longer then an hour or so, and then the sync becomes noticable. |

And it does not accept all files, the avi files with bloody GMC dont work on it |
