Default What's the best video editor for you?

For you what's the best video editor (software)?

For add several video files, music, legends... all this stuff... and also for ripping files to divx (or other format) images/smilies/think.gif

I personally use Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0

It's a scaled down version of Pro that still does everything I need it to do, and it's much cheaper.

Check the reviews, it's a great product images/smilies/thumbup.gif

premiere pro, pinnacle studio, virtualdub. I use all three on specific occassions, they all have their plus points, and once i had to choose, so I chose all three images/smilies/smile.gif

I use Sony Vegas for video editing, and TMPGEnc for just encoding.

Pinnable studio 10. despite the glitches and bugs images/smilies/rolleyes.gif i just like the features, and with my current pc, it will encode a DVD in 30mins. also has plenty of free effects.

Avid Liquid is pretty good, handles most formats and got a lot of features, like effects and dvd wizard etc...

If you plan to get a job editing in the future, Avid Express Pro is the most used in the business (very expensive though) with Final Cut Pro cruising upwards (norwegian public broadcaster has switched to FCP from Express), so one of those is what you should go for.

To rip from dvd to divx, I use avisynth, then use Adobe Premiere Pro for any editing. I also use VirtualDub for subtitling, or general dubbing.

This is not the best but for everyone who is considering getting it ulead is a pile of sh*t
To split audio from video a simple task for any other software requires a time frame of a few hours while it freezes and does'nt respond.

Sony Vegas is great!

See my website for stuff edited with Vegas (among other programs) www.AdvanTechStudios.com

Tried Premiere Pro but was immediately frustrated at it's sluggishness, inefficiency, and instability.
Tried Vegas and it turned out to be more intuitive, faster at doing things, stable, and powerful.

I like Premier Pro, but i'm yet to try the lastest version. We've got Final Cut at school, and i'll probably be using it soon..

I own Final Cut Studio, and it's the best package i've ever bought. I've also owned in the past various versions of Avid and Premiere, but Final Cut Pro/Studio wins hands down for me images/smilies/smile.gif

I like Sony Vegas, it's quite straight forward and yet you're able to create some cool stuff with it.

AdvanTech, mind boggling stuff!

I make simple videos, so Sony Vegas is the perfect choise for me. When I make a dvd I use Tmpeg to convert. This is the best if you want to make simple, but good videos images/smilies/smile.gif
