I couldn't be bothered to write a full review, but I will say:
1) Charlie Cox is still annoying as all hell. He ruins the whole thing. I cannot stand him. 2) Drop the Australiana, its condesending, and its not funny. |

^Every now and then. I don't think it matters if they use some slang, we all do at some stage.

There's a big difference between talking like Australians and talking like Ocker stereotypes from the bush in the 1950's. Nobody I know speaks the way Charlie Cox talks. And thank God for that!
And yes. I live in Australia and was born in Australia. But I REALLY hate us all being portrayed as a bunch of bogan hics. ![]() P.S. If it was clever, I could enjoy it. But it's not. It's just rubbish... and not "ambitious but rubbish." |

+1. Australiana stays, but toned down a bit

I work in a restaurant where the average age of the clientele is about 407, and hear it all the time
even I pick up that slang. It's terrible (or rather, it's bloody awful mate!). TGA sounds positively modern by comparison.

Were we watching the same show!? This is how the TGA 'team' captured the only interesting part of the lap, where Stig apparently 'has a lot on'. Sorry, but the track work is still total shit!

so let's see, 4 people gave a 1 to this episode, and 2 gave it a 2. Also I've been seen all sorts of complaints from the camera angles in the track(granted) to the way they speak. I have only one question: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? This is a brand new show, just because it's been done in Britain for the last 10 years doesn't mean the Aussies will get it right from the start. They're still learning how to make the bleeming thing and you seem to be expecting TGUK level of quality. Not even the brits have been able to do this recently(let's face it, last season wasn't one of the best, not even close). I even heard someone saying "drop the australiana". This is Top Gear AUSTRALIA, what did you expect? I've never seen anyone complaining that TGUK is too british. The show is good, not great but good. And to me, it's a good way to wait for the next british series.

In hindsight, I should have worn a red and white striped shirt with matching red and white striped hat and made a bit of a game of this for my friends to play ... I've already got the 'Where's Wally?' (a.k.a. 'Where's Waldo?') glasses, I might as well finish off the ensemble. Maybe next time I go to TGA ... ![]() It depends on how many drongos are around at the time.

The film production process at this level is pretty well-defined and as such can be duplicated like you would a KFC recipe. They've basically undercooked it in critical areas such as story development (which isn't budget dependent), simply because they didn't follow the recipe given to them. And this is why everyone here marks them so harshly.
