I want to change the background images and possibly the fonts used for the CAPTCHA on the registration page.

Quote:
It is suggested that you provide your own background images and true type fonts to make your image verification unique. Background images should be 201x61 pixels. Fonts should be True Type fonts. Place the files in the proper directory beneath the images/regimage folders. The name of the files do not matter as long as images end in .jpg, .png, or .gif and fonts end in .ttf.
Current images:

http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background1.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background2.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background3.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background4.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background5.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background6.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background7.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background8.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background9.jpg http://forums.finalgear.com/images/regimage/backgrounds/background10.jpg

There are also 3 fonts.

Anyone have some good ones for me? images/smilies/smile.gif

don't do all 1 font, do 1 font per letter (the more different, the better), software will have a tough time with those ones. Also, draw a line (not a straight one) through the letters (same color as letters), but thin and non-intrusive, so people can tell what it is.

It's also a good idea to tilt the fonts in different odd angles, that way they're not even in a straight line or oriented in the same direction.

A good idea is to make the fonts dark, but not exactly black in color ... fool around with the RGB a bit.

Anything that can fool automation should be put on it.

I can't do a line or anything, but I already have the random color, font, slant, etc. on. images/smilies/smile.gif
