| Lazy Head Dude | I founded them. ![]() And I'm gonna remove the poll. It's rather worthless IMO due to the hugely various ways that someone could have discovered the site, especially since the only options are "Google" and "other". ![]()

I kept noticing that every time someone asked for song help they'd be directed here, to the 'what's that song? thread. Eventually I had a song question of my own so I came straight here and ended up staying, much to the annoyance of everyone. |

| ^ will bore you to death | I was coming here for the TG eps, how exactly I found them here I can't recall (likely tremek), and waited a long time before I signed up on the forum and finally did to get access to the videos section. I finally made a post when I got sick of all the un-educated pushrod/leafspring bashing. |

| I really can't remember at all. It was probably through searching for something on Google.

| I'm not Moe | I was downloading clips of Top Gear through other sites by http downloads. Then I came to Viper's Top Gear torrent site and realized that Top Gear was a full hour long show and that torrents made a lot more sense. This is what the site looked like back then: ![]() I would look up the episodes that sounded interesting and search for them on Limewire! |

| I used to be the only Yank on BarryBoys, making fun of riced-out British crap before some forum members ended up stalking me. At the same time I used to get clips from this strange British show from a site called RacingFlix, and eventually I got dragged to this site back when it looked like bartboy said.

| Well, it began when I first got hooked onto Top Gear a few years ago when SBS first aired season 5. After watching that episode (05x01) and enjoying every second of it, I searched on the net to see if I can download any epps and looked for any https, torrents etc. To my delight I found nearly every epp on Mininova. After clicking here and downloading the epp I noticed the link to Final Gear in the torrent's comments section. And that's how I learned of the awesome site that is FinalGear.com. ![]() Read the forums for ages, and didn't reg until later and didn't start posting until much later. | |

| I was on Wikipedia's Top Gear page and I found out FinalGear.com appeared in the external links part. This forum appeared to be nice along with a great community, unlike local forums where trolls are everywhere, so I signed up ![]() | |

| Global Moderator | I was downloading the TG episodes when it still looked like in Bartboy's post. Read some thread about "hey, i want to move this to a new domain, any suggestions, i've got theis cool logo here.". Followed the site to the new domain, still leeching until May 2005, when Viper had to take the torrent downloads offline and downloads were announced in the IRC channel. I promptly joined there, and became a regular. It took me 6 months to join the forums after that, and another 9 months for me to start posting here.
