I was looking for TG episodes to download. Then FinalGear appeared in google. I registered here when 9th series was on air, and there was all the fuss caused by Hammond's crash. FinalGear just kept me informed. After that I just stayed here, but I rather read the forums than post.

Around September/October 2005 I got extremely angry that Discovery stopped showing our chopped up version of Top Gear. During an extensive Google search of where to get my disappearing show I stumbled upon this holy mecca of goodness.

It was almost like finding the one porn channel they forgot to scramble.

I downloaded everything I could, but never ventured over to the forums. A few months later I lurked around the TG forum just to get the latest news (before it got clogged with "How should we kill Oliver" nonsense threads). Finally I decided to sign up and get the full experience. images/smilies/lol.gif

Started out when we found out TG was longer than 30 minutes, hunted since we got broadband, and then found a site that had teh full rips, voila!

I had seen a couple of episodes and had found some episodes various places. I came here for some time before registrering and posting, but then I couldn't leave images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Quiky showed me Top Gear at work a few times. One night I googled it, found this place. Then nearly gave Quiky a heart attack when he saw me here. It is a small world after all. images/smilies/tongue.gif

I hadn't watched TG in ages, so I searched for Top Gear on Google Video images/smilies/lol.gif I found one of the 8th series ones (in full length images/smilies/cool.gif), and that's how I got into TG again. Anyway, about the forums, I was on the main site one day when I noticed the 'Forums' button. And here I am \o/

I am a part of the Google zombie trail. Found lots of good stuff to read here, lots of incredibly reasonable people (how does that happen on Teh Inatwebz?), and the added and thoroughly unexpected bonus of lots of incredibly wonderful downloadable content.

...Those last words sound a bit like promo copy for a porn site...ew.

I started seaching for moar after discovery channel stopped showing our crappy version. My first British Top Gear was 8x05. After that I started downloading as much as possible. I registered back in 06, lurked a bit, only dropped in occasionally. Decided a few weeks ago to start being active and here I am.
