I got to thinking -- each area of this forum is actually a forum itself which makes this whole part of the site the "forums" rather than the "forum".
So, do you think I should rename this subdomain to "forums"? No links or anything would be broken 'cause http://forum.finalgear.com/blah/ would redirect to http://forums.finalgear.com/blah/. ![]() Thoughts? Please vote and then explain your vote by replying.

Yeah, I get your point. Each part of this site is a seperate forum, so combined it would be forums...

Yes because other forums with as many sub-forums as here have it like that. Also our sub-forums really gather communities of their own - ie; people who only post in "Photography" or "Political" sections. So it therefore makes sense to have it the way you suggested.
Just do it - we ain't gonna stop you

I see your point but I think it's only a detail, and changing would eventually lead to some bugs at one point or another. But hey, it's YOUR forum, so you're the boss.

It's a minor detail - so whatever you prefer boss.
Idiot here meant to vote to keep it like it is, yet somehow clicked the first option...

No thats really anal. It'll take me ages to remeber to put the s. I really can't see why it bothers really even if it isn't gramatically correct

Don't bother with it. It's too small a detail to waist as much time as you will to iron things out. Besides, I'm already use to typing forum.finalgear.com into my address bar, I don't want to be bothered by an 's'.

I see your point but don't see an urgent need for action - it's gramatically more correc than it is now, but that really is it. I'd keep it like it is - unless you're dying to change it.

Doesn't really matter either way. I see this place as a 'mall' with specialty stores inside(
), so forum still works.

That query would take more time then the apache way as it would have to fire up the PHP parser.
