Default Just curious, but did you consider SMF when you made this switch?

I run a few forums myself (smallish ones with less than 600 users, but very active) and I am currently in the process of converting everything over to Simple Machines Forum. I looked at vbulletin, but SMF just seems to win out over just about everything from my point of view. Just curious to see why you chose VB, and what other forums were considered.

We did, and almost every other software out there. There's a thread already on this, naturally I'm lazy to dig it up for you, so search for it images/smilies/smile.gif

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

Thanks, just read thru all of that and it sounds like you made a great choice. I will certainly have to give vB a try sometime soon. images/smilies/thumbup.gif

For a forum this size, vBulletin is about the only forum out there than can handle all the data without lingering issues.
