Official FinalGear Image/File Hosting - Page 2

Major update;
Server is moved!

Images are redirecting to lighttpd, and the main site is serves with apache.
The uploader has been setup to use updates urls.

And default thumbnail size has increased a little, to allow better viewing of the files.

Future update features:
-Selectable thumbnail sizes
-Account management+url remember!

I love Phyrefile, did I ever mention that?

A question: how long do the images stay up? A year? Forever? Until the server is full?

Forever. We won't delete images.
Phyrefile is now running on Titan, and we got about 600GB of free space at the moment.

I'm getting this errormsg when uploading pics :'(

Is there a chance that maybe in the future we could just host the url like image shack does

Somehow the server locked access to the folder.. all fixed now.

I assume he means a feature that allows you to enter the hyperlink of an image off the internet which is then directly hosted onto Phyrefile, i.e. you don't have to save it to the computer first.

Yeah, that's in the plan for the next version..

This current version was hacked together and I didn't expect we would be serving a million images/month, and adding 3000+new images/month..

Just used it and it's fast and easy to use, wondering if there's any updates done on it? Also, is it possible to create an account so we can manage our uploads like deleting etc?

That's currently in progress along with a batch-uploader... as soon as Viper007Bond finishes coding it.

Finished up a huge ass project that I've been working on on and off for over a year now and I think Phyrefile is next.

Version 2.0 is out, although missing our 3rd birthday by a long shot images/smilies/tongue.gif

Viper007Bond did the coding, and I hacked a lite version up for the forums.

So yeah, enjoy multi-image uploading.

Sidenote; if you use Adblock Plus, you may need to scroll to the bottom og the page first due to how it handles flash objects.

Since now there's PHP based User Accounts - is there individual galleries (kinda like flickr or something) possibly coming in the future?

Yeah, thats part of the timeline.

2.1 = My Images / User gallery
2.2 = Multi-server support
2.3 = RAW Support (potentially)
