Keep an eye out for post number one million!
![]() The post with the ID #1000000 will be easy to find ( http://forums.finalgear.com/off-topic/random-thoughts-9185/post1000000/ ) but due to post deletions and such, we're about 7000 posts behind that ID (as of this thread, we're at 992,879 posts while this post's ID is "999761"). So keep an eye on that count at the bottom of the forum homepage and try to get a screenshot of it! Bonus points for figuring out which post it was (iSpy may be helpful for that).

I can see a competition for the millionth post... when the post ID count goes to 999900, it's going to be a very rapid climb in post numbers until the magic million.
Let's just hope that Post no. 1000000 will not be the work of a spammer, because that would be pathetic.

It would really suck if it was this one. |

We hit 500,000 back in August 2007, so the next 500,000 has come very quickly considering this place has been around since 2003.
~4 years for the first 500,000 and well under 2 years for the second.

It's like the Earth's population growth trend, more or less... So we might expect 1,500,000 by, erm, let's say... December.
