It's an upload and activate plugin nearly, so it wasn't hard to install.

TONS of configuration options though. Still playing around with those.

I'd say the second one. People read from left to right, so they'll read the name first, not the number.

I like it, although it seems to have broken vB's jump-to-the-rquested-post-as-soon-as-the-page-finishes-loading-function, which is expecially nice when viewing a page with lots of huge images in it. I only just noticed it stopped working though, didn't notice it working or not yesterday, so it might just be coincidence.

Yeah, I'm aware of the issue. Due to the p=12345 parameter no longer being in the URL, the vB Javascript doesn't work. In the process of seeing if I can get a fix.

Err, whenever I click the Formula 1 link on the Motorsports forum, I get taken back in time to some old 2005 thread discussing favourite cars. Its a great thread and all, but it isnt where I wanna go images/smilies/tongue.gif

The "1" in the URL thinks you want thread #1. Bah. I'll fiddle with the URLs.

EDIT: Okay, fixed.

Ottobon found another problem with my custom URL structure. images/smilies/sad.gif

http://forums.finalgear.com/general-automotive/page-2/

That's supposed to show page 2 of the General Automotive thread, but of course that's the same format for threads, so it redirects to thread ID #2.

I've removed the "page-" bit and that seems to have fixed it.

Okay, finally got Linkbacks working and showing up. I forgot I had a template caching plugin installed that was making it so vBSEO couldn't modify the templates on the fly.

What's been added is...
  • A "Linkbacks" dropdown in the upper-right of each thread. Use it to Digg the thread, save it to various bookmarking sites, etc. I decided not to additionally have them next to each post (tiny buttons).

  • A "Linkbacks" box to the bottom of some threads (like this one). Scroll down to see a list of websites linking to this thread or posts inside of it.

Set some custom stubs for forum names.

Examples:

http://forums.finalgear.com/automotive-news/ is no longer hugely long
http://forums.finalgear.com/top-gear...e-discussions/ now has "top-gear" rather than "tg"
The two "contest" forums collided, so I renamed the photo one while I was at it.
etc.

Well, not as much on this forum as I don't bug you logged in users with ads, but yeah, I'm happy I bought it. images/smilies/happy.gif
