I know it's hard to keep good control specially at times when the forums seem to be growing exponentially, that's why I was actually surprised how such a thing was handled neatly and quickly, it's impressive.

It may be helpful to add text regarding the signature size in the profile view. (or perhaps a link to this thread.)

Some people had expected restrictions to be listed there.

I would recommend a "General Annoyance" rule that says you can ban someone for being a detriment to the forum. The more vague, the better.
