If you ignore someone, the forum will hide posts made by them and replace them instead with a message saying they posted and nothing more.

Example in action screenshot:

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/1199/ignoredusernb2.png

You can click the link in the upper-right to view the post, but otherwise it's hidden from view. Good for ignore dumbasses and such.

The buddy list simply allows you to have a quick list (Quick Links -> Open Buddy List) of your friends here for easy access to PM'ing them and such. It also adds a + after their nick in the Who's Online list I think.

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

So buddy list is just effectivly a way of communicating with your friends without having to search for them in the list of members which could well be quite large.
Ignore lists is something where is someone is pissing you off then you can ignore what they say,Better to report them though.

And you'll find yourself with a nice little temporary ban if you continue posting just for the sake of posting.

Post counts mean next to nothing here. Quality, not quantity.
