Default File type unknown when trying to view finalgear.com???

I've never seen an error like this, and it showed up yesterday for the first time. When I try to access finalgear.com, I get a browser window saying that it doesn't recognize the file type?! Anyone have any ideas?

What stone age era browser are you using?

The site is probably trying to serve you a .html.gz file, i.e. a compressed HTML file. It's like 1/10th the size. Any browser made since like 1995 should have no problem with it.

I tried loading the site in IE7 via two different computers in my house. Works fine. Hmm.

Go figure. I usually use FF3 but I'm getting the same thing in IE8B.

Does refreshing or anything fix it? Hmm.

And is it working now that I disabled compression?

Okay, changed some stuff to account for IE being a piece of shit. Let me know if you get this issue again.

Default Problem accessing site

Hi,

I have a problem accessing this site from my home computer running Vista. When entering any url associated with finalgear.com, instead of loading the website I get a download box requesting me to download a tar.gz file.

I can access from my work computer fine.

Any ideas what us happening here?

Thanks.

Are you using an old ass browser at home or something?

I've disabled compression on the main site for the time being. It'll result in slower page downloads, but it should fix these problems. *sigh*

Use Firefox. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Viper: why don't you just reroute everybody that uses IE to www.mozilla.com/firefox? images/smilies/tongue.gif
