Compared to current stars:

I agree the bars looks cleaner, but I think the stars are clearer that it's a rating, etc. What do you guys think?

http://www.finalgear.com/chat/ now snags your username from the forums if you're logged in, otherwise it defaults to "FinalGear" which of course will throw an error as that nickname is in use forcing the user to pick a unique username.

Of course let me know if this doesn't work for anyone.

I like the red bar. The starts makes it look like eBay.

The eps and season listing is awesome work! Overall FinalGear is probably the most comprehensive source for TG related stuff...

i like the stars personally. as viper said, it's clearer that it's a rating. though, would a tachometer that redlines at 10,000rpm be too tachy (no pun intended) as a rating visual?

Even more so once we flush out the wiki some more. images/smilies/happy.gif

It'd be too big (take up more vertical space) and plus it'd be a major pain to implement as I'd have to create images for each RPM or whatever.

Suggestion: Include links to the 'Entire Season' torrents in each season page.

Oh and keep releasing the entire season torrents, downloading the season 3 pack now images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Kudos to final gear, great site!

Just found a bug, might be temporary but anyways.

At this page, http://www.finalgear.com/shows/topgear/1/7/ clicking on "This episode's article on the FinalGear.com Wiki" takes me to the forum logout page with the message: "All cookies cleared" (http://forums.finalgear.com/login.ph...uthash=removed)

If i then click back and click the "This episode's article on the FinalGear.com Wiki" link again, I end up at an error page "Fatal error: Call to undefined method PPTemplateFrame_DOM::splitBraceNode() in /var/www/hosted/finalgear.com/wiki/htdocs/extensions/ParserFunctions/ParserFunctions.php on line 158" at http://wiki.finalgear.com/wiki/Top_Gear_01x07

This seems to happen for all episodes, not just the one mentioned above.

Overall rating for the series on the "season" listing? Helps people new to TG with the quality of the season - could warn off people with the quality of the pre series 4 rips perhaps? Point them to 6, 7, 8 and 11. Any how nice work Viper - excellent.

Seems our vBulletin / Mediawiki bridge script doesn't like Mediawiki v1.12.0 which I just upgraded to. Fuck.

There's only polls on the threads for recent episodes and I don't want to add polls for old episodes as few people will vote or the people who do vote will be random people.

Simply put, only new episodes will have ratings.

looks great viper, I wanted to offer my 2 cents lol...

I think you should change the black / white arrows to a simple black gradient, the contrast burned my eyes when I saw it images/smilies/wacko.gif

can't imagine the back end work on this beast!

The color is yellow, not white. Fix the contrast on your monitor. images/smilies/wink.gif

But yes, I'm having Blayde change them. It's too hard to read the season text on that background.

So far, great job. I love the screenshots, the ratings, and the download notifier on the right. Is there any though on adding some search functionality so we could search for specific segments, guests, or car reviews?
