Default *NEW* file format and *NEW* file sizes!!

From now on all videos provided by me will be coded in DivX 5.1 format @ 595KBps of video bit rate and 44KHz 64kb/s MONO for audio.

Top Gear 1 hour episode size = 280MB ~ (previous = 190-200MB)
Fifth Gear 30 min episode size = 120-140MB ~ (previous = 70-80MB)

The quality will be improved, the picture will be much sharper and richer in detail. Sure I could make 700MB files but who would be able to host that? images/smilies/biggrin.gif

XviD actually has better compression than DivX in most cases:

awesome work VUK, i just wanna thank you again for
your eforts!

if u'd like to make the sharpness and detail high and lower
the resolution to 320x240...most ppl run it at 200x zoom so
it'll be perfectly clear at 640x480 and it'll be a MUCH smaller
file size images/smilies/biggrin.gif

well you see that does not come up good here, i watch it at 1024x768. 320x240 is very bad for that.

Yeah, I watch it 200% only 'cause fullsize doesn't do too well on the old videos. Hopefully I'll be able to watch these fullsize. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

some were stereo and some mono.... i will do some research to see is quality better on mono or stereo... should be mono cos the entire bit rate is for 1 channel where on stereo it has to split

here are the facts.

48KBPS of bitrate is for audio.

if running 1 channel (mono), all 48KBPS is used for that one sound.

if running 2 channel (stereo), 24KBPS is used for 1 single line and 24KBPS for another single line, so think of it as mono x2.

now, because they are 24KBPS the sound is CRAP, there is no other way of describing it.

I am have made sereo and mono samles if anyone wants to to take a look
