I'm affrait the charcoal thing will be too dark, this is why we should add bars of rushed aluminium, same principle as a car interior..

Well of course, I'd like a charcoal/dark grey/whatever background accented by some carbon fibre and brushed aluminum....all dark wouldn't be good. Silver bars around the text areas are cool too. With some red thrown in, and a rotating banner, we have a winnah!!!

hehe - I just laughed so hard when I saw that, but I didn't think to comment about it. Somehow it didn't cross my mind that everyone would think you were being mean to me. Ah well, here's clearing things up - I'm cool with it and I don't mind what Ren says because I get his sense of humour. Also, I think he's a great mod and one of the most active on the forum. He asserts his authority when needed and is easy going when not.

I'm sure others will agree with me here.

Did and went with the CF background, but I'm not sure if I like the link images on the right hand corner, but it's easy to get to one of the shows with one click that way.

I think it looks really good! I maybe the only one, but I think the white in the middle, that's too erm too white, it's not boring but reminds me of some "news-site"

Maybe it's an idea to give that space some darker color at the top and flows into a lighter color at the botom.

Yea, looks pretty cool zerosignal. The top right hand corner definately needs something though and I'm not a big fan of distorting images as you've done with the carbon fiber, but overall pretty sweet. I esp like how the carbon fiber has worked out in the logo.

Yeah, I was thinking of having something in the top right, but I can't really decide on one specific car. I don't really like to 'limit' the look to a specific car. That's why I used the Porsche font - it's hardly recognizable as a Porsche font. I didn't want to use the Ferrari font, cause then we'd all look like a bunch of blokes wearing Ferrari shirts, who don't really have Ferraris.

Know what I mean?

I might stick a wheel in there or something. Something that's not specific to just one car.

Awesome job. However, closely following my sketch...

• I'd lose the ".com" part and "The Automotive Community" tagline.
• At least add a picture of a car (I chose Porsches just because the logo is in Porsche type, but isn't limited to those)
• I'd find a better pic of Clarkson/Tiff to work around with.

Also, I previous made changes to the original logo. Bigger text, smaller gearbox. Much better.

Viggen - I like your feedback, and I've removed the 'Automotive Community' bit. But, I think that the '.com' should stay there - it's easier for visitors to remmember the URL of the website.

And I like your logo with the smaller shifter, but generally, I think my version looks better.

Overheat - I'd keep that space empty too. If the header gets too cluttered, it doesn't look right imo. Rotating images could be cool, but they'd have to be relatively small.

Only thing I dont like is the red, but thats a subjective matter. I really like it. Pure and simple.

Come to think of it, I cant thik of a replacement for the red. Texture and aluminium perhaps? 8)

I like zeroSignals design very much but the black/red combo looks like some "underground warez" site. I think a lighter pastel colour would work better.
