I have a Ventrilo server and im opening it to Final Gear. For yall who dont know what it is, its like yahoo or aim voice chat. I have a 50 slot server and its located here in texas in teh Dallas area, most people in texas get <15 ping and most outside the state get pretty low 20-30 pings. If you need to DL ventrilo please goto http://www.ventrilo.com.
ip: ventrilo.got3n.com port: 5921 pass: uberleet To Install: - Install the application - Start the application - Click the -> button for User Name - Click New and Enter in your Desired name - Click Ok - Click the -> for Server - Click New and enter in the name you wish to call my server (Got3n.com) - For Hostname or IP enter in ventrilo.got3n.com - For Port enter in 5921 - For password enter in uberleet - Click OK - Click Connect - Click Setup - Make sure your in the settings area under the Voice tab - Make sure you check Enable Outgoing communications, Use Pust to talk hotkey (only if you wish to activate your mic with a key instead of voice activated, this is recommended), uncheck the last 3 boxes (direct input, discard hotkey, play key clicks) - If you chose push to talk then click in the hotkey box and set your key. - If you did not choose push to talk then under silence time choose .5 seconds and you will have to play with your sesativity. - Under Output deivce, pull the drop down down and choose your sound card. - UnCheck Use DirectSound for input - Inpute device choose your sound card - For Mux choose Recording Control - For line Choose microphone or your valid Line in input for your microphone. - Now click the Events tab at the top - For all the drop downs i suggest you change them all to "Nothing", otherwise when people join or leave or change channels the TTS will say stuff and it gets annoying. Other than that please be sure your MIC boost is turned off in your windows settings and correctly chosen as your recording line.

Do the Red "+" mean they're private? Haven't tried to go in one yet, just the blue ones...

I hated the interface for Vent and voice quality all depends on the codec that the channel is using. I use it for playing with my BF clan online and it works great.
