Car: Kawasaki ZX7 Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Greetings from Serbia! I've been browsing yours site and reading forum for a while and been watching TG I FG for a long time TG longer obviously Didn't have anything to say or add until now because I have one suggestion. Why not try using x264 codec for video compression of ordinary, not HD, material? I've been watching one series which has been encoded with x264 and quality is awesome with size being around 130 MB for around 45 minutes of program in 640x352 with MP3 sound. It is even better than the xvid file which has around 350MBKeep up the good work! Bruyoni |

| Lazy Head Dude | Because Xvid requires a lot less powerful PC, is more widely supported (i.e. most people don't have a x264 codec installed), and can be played on DivX standalone players. Shorter encode time too I believe. Plus the Scene uses Xvid, so we do too. ![]() See previous threads for more reasons: http://forums.finalgear.com/search.p...ess&query=x264

There is no replacement for displacement. - Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group talking about the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it. - Motor Trend on the 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe, November 2005 |
