Default MS3 vs WRX

I have a friend with a MS3 and we were wondering the other day: how does the MS3 stack up against a WRX - or an STI for that matter. Might be a good comparison, as I'm sure the MS3 would beat the WRX, but the STI may be closer in performance than most people would assume.

Which WRX?

2009 outguns it, 2008 is worse than the MS3, and I think the 2006 is about equal

The 2006 is not as fast, but it was regarded as the better autocross car.

I'd rather get the WRX. You can do a lot to it with after market parts. The MS3 however is limited due to it being FWD.

AWD > FWD.

/End.

And I think the STi looks better than the 3MPS anyway.

The MS3 is a great car, better than the WRX in every way, except one major one, the lack of AWD. If you live in a sunny climate, I'd go MS3 every day. If you live somewhere where it snows, the WRX is the better call. I hate the new body style tho

i think it means my mini is a hatchback, but the difference is the Mini is a good looking hatchback. It never started as a perfectly good looking sedan and then turned into a hatchback.

^ That is not a production car.
And yes, an STI will beat an RX7

I have my doubts about that. And even then, which FD? Certainly not the Spirit R.

The FD3S has one of the best chassis' you can buy.

And also:

Both have mods, but either way its close enough to call it even in a straight line.

I rode in a MS3 just the other day, and I was VERY impressed by it. Felt much faster than a standard WRX.

ok, Sprint R is a bit of a different story. But if you're including that, then I get the Spec-C and the RB320
