Panoz

I really haven't seen much about Panoz, since probably the late 90's. Everyone was really into their AIV roadster, which they stopped making around that time. They went on to make a car they call the Esperante, powered, as the AIV was, by a Ford 4.6 liter V8.

This is another one I'm not too sure about (due to the recession), but these low volume American manufacturers tend to get few reviews done on their products.

I haven't heard of them since a brief article about the Esperante years ago in Road and Track.

My idea for this one: A feature on Panoz has to focus on their race cars as much as the road car.

I do know of an authorized body shop who repairs them; he may have some info to fill any gaps.

There is a Panoz dealership in Plano, TX. I went there to check it out a few years ago, 2004-2005ish? They're probably still around, let me see if I can find some information on them.

Ok they're Panoz of Dallas and their phone number is (972) 633-3929. I tried finding a website but nothing came up in the 1st page of google.

I think I remember reading a few months ago that they're under contract to build "recreation" mustangs. I think this was in Hot Rod a few months ago. Can anyone confirm?
